As mentioned, I am not the IT savvy of the two of us at the Crafty Nest and have been promising to post some photos of my work. I am not too good at taking before photos so firstly sharing some photos of completed work until I get the hang of taking before, during and after photos. As you can tell, I am crazy about stencils and prefer the more traditional soft shabby chic colours. Something so nice about the Crafty Nest, we each have our own styles and preferences which helps to illustrate the versatility of chalk paint. Many of what you see below you can learn how to do too in my craft classes – revamp a chair, vintage window, vintage inspired wall panel, gorgeous terracotta pots class (learn how to do transfers), learn to fabric paint table runners, placemats, napkins, pillows, aprons etc.
Hi everyone – first post from Alicia, the other half of the Crafty Nest and the far less IT savvy of the two. Today was an amazing event at the AWBS Holiday and Craft Fair at Ascot Racecourse. I was fortunate enough to meet Eric, owner of Autentico Paints. He loved my use of their paints and took tonnes of photos – hoping to see them soon. Below are just a few photos from my stand. Doing it all over again next Sunday 17th November at the AWS fair at ACS Cobham. Please come on down to look at these items or similar items in person, learn about the fantastic paints Arina and I use at the Crafty Nest in our different classes or projects. The schedule for my upcoming classes to the public can be seen right now on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TheCraftyNest until I can get my IT skills up and running better. Many more will be planned starting from January. I also do private parties (and am about to book another private tea cup candle class this time for a group of ladies in Egham). I will also be doing ladies nights about twice a month so please keep checking the Crafty Nest facebook page for events or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. For AWS and AWBS members, please continue to refer to the club websites for Crafts for Fun in the activities tab and my facebook page for AWS/AWBS which is located at https://www.facebook.com/alicia.essex.1 and is mainly a gallery of photos from classes to help give you ideas before coming to class.
