To Order Paint or other Autentico products: - Please use the STORE page to order paint for Vintage and associated sundries. While we're updating our website to enable you to order the other fabulous ranges of Autentico Paint, please contact us by email, ring the shop or pop in for orders concerning the Autentico extended paint range such as Velvet, Versante Matt, Venice, Versante Superior Eggshell, Esterno etc. When ordering on line, please be sure to include your phone number. We will contact you to let you know if the paint/item is in stock or is being ordered for you.
At the present time, ordering paint & sundries is for collection from the shop in East Molesey (The Crafty Nest, 78 Walton Road, East Molesey KT8 0ED): or for paint/sundries orders over £30, FREE DELIVERY WITHIN 10 MILES of the shop for orders of £30 and over (also includes West Byfleet, Byfleet, Walton on Thames, Hersham, Weybridge, Cobham, Esher, Molesey, Oxshott etc). You can also pop in to the shop or ring us to place your order over the telephone 02089411944 and we will send you a Paypal invoice (don't have Paypal - don't worry, you can use your credit/debit cards via the Paypal site without having to register). We can only offer shipping of paints & stencils direct from the manufacturer which is a set delivery fee of £12. Please ring the shop or email us for details. Orders placed in this manner, before 12 noon, can be delivered next day direct to your home Monday through Thursday, subject to availability from manufacturer. (**Note: FREE DELIVERY is Alicia in the family car during morning or afternoon school run hence restriction on distances).
Outside of the above, we do not post paints/paint products/colour charts etc and therefore there is no shipping included in the check out process.
FURNITURE COURIER SERVICES:- Do note the information regarding delivery above (unless specified specifically in furniture listing, delivery is not included) and be aware that we do not post items nor conduct courier services. However, for purchases regarding furniture, delivering commissions to be painted etc we are happy to work with a courier of your choice or can highly recommend Michel at firstname.lastname@example.org, telephone 07802737794 He is happy to provide you directly with quotes for delivering any of our items you may wish to purchase or for delivery/collection of commissioned pieces. It is very important to appoint a reputable and adequately insured courier, not just a man with a van service who may not take appropriate care or packing of your item. We will gladly work with any courier you may appoint for collection. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility or liability for actions of a courier.
For some items purchased from the shop, there may be occasions we can offer free local delivery of larger items if we have Michel already booked. Please discuss on an individual basis. We accept no liability for courier and only use insured reputable couriers.
Terms & Conditions
Autentico Paint/sundries orders and purchases cannot be amended once the order has gone to the manufacturer and therefore cannot be refunded. If you are unhappy with your Autentico product purchased from us, please return it to the shop within 14 days of purchase and we will work with the manufacturer to replace it free of charge. Please note, to ensure the integrity of the paint/sundries in stock, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once products have left the shop due to change of mind of colour etc. We do hold an array of tester pots and colour charts that can be purchased to ensure your colour selection is to your taste.
Commissioned items painted to your specification or otherwise personalised items cannot be refunded. This does not affect statutory rights.
For purchases of vintage painted furniture from the website, please ensure you measure correctly. Returns (buyer to organise return delivery, with signed for and tracked delivery) are accepted provided you have notified us within 14 days and is returned within 28 days of purchase and the items must be returned in the same condition as when purchased. Any personalised/commissioned pieces are not refundable. For items received back damaged or scratched, a fee to repair to the condition as when purchased will be deducted from refund price. If the item is not deemed to be in a saleable condition due to damage in transit or attempts to maneuver incorrectly, a refund will not apply. To avoid this type of scenario, we strongly advise using appropriate courier services
For or purchases of vintage painted furniture from the shop (and not personalised or customised) may be returned within 7 days of purchase, at your own cost and must be in the same condition as when purchased from the shop (free from any damage to the item/paint work). Again, please do ensure you have measured correctly especially taking into consideration moving the items through doorways and stairways. For items received back damaged or scratched, a fee to repair to the condition as when purchased will be deducted from refund price. If the item is not deemed to be in a saleable condition due to damage in transit or attempts to maneuver incorrectly, a refund will not apply. To avoid this type of scenario, we strongly advise using appropriate courier services.
Do note that vintage furniture is not new furniture. The pieces have had a past life and, while completely fit for purpose, will show signs of this past life which may take the form of dents, past repairs etc that help form part of their character. Some may have locks but are not working locks - where locks are fully functional, we will indicate in our description. Do note, that as regards locks and hinges, over time you may be required to perform maintenance such as tightening screws or using WD40. When using WD40, please ensure you take steps to protect the paint finish. As regards any items with electrical components, unless a PAT test has been performed and attached, these will be disabled and the purchaser has the responsibility to ensure a qualified electrician has performed a PAT test prior to use. For this reason, pieces of vintage furniture are not otherwise advertised as having electrical components and are disabled.
CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
For all classes/workshops, including Furniture Painting Masterclass, Introduction to Chalk Paint 101, Advanced Class etc or craft classes/ work shops you can use the STORE section to book on line. Kindly ensure that you mark your diaries as other than the automated confirmation generated by this website, there may not be future reminders. For private sessions, there are no refunds. Please note that once booked, changes to class dates you may wish to make are subject to availability of the same class/workshop AND will incur a 50% class/workshop rebooking fee (of the regularly listed fee (special discount prices are charged at 50% of full, regularly listed class fee) and must be rebooked on the next available class/workshop. As classes/workshops can be booked up, it is important that you contact us within 7 days of your booked class/workshop to rebook. Please note that seasonal classes/workshops which may or may not be repeated are non-refundable and cannot be rebooked.
An offer of Rebooking will be offered once, for the next available of the same class/workshop booked as materials will have been purchased on your behalf for a class/workshop. Therefore, refunds are not available and can only be rebooked as previously stated. You may, however, send someone in your place and provide an email confirmation to Alicia of your substitute in advance of your booked class/workshop.
Any rebooking fee will be invoiced to you via Paypal or Square Invoice and must be settled within 7 days of issue. Any rebooking will not be confirmed until the rebooking fee invoice has been settled. If the rebooking Invoice remains unpaid after 7 days, your rebooking will be cancelled and your space on the class/workshop made available to other customers.
Gift certificates are valid for a period of three months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated on the gift certificate. Gift Certificates have no cash equivalent and must be used towards the purchase or booking as described on the certificate. Gift Certificates cannot be used to purchase additional Gift Certificates. Parking:- There is an inexpensive car park just a few shops away. Full day parking is £4. Very reasonable shorter time frame fees apply. Saturday parking has three hours free parking (ticket from pay and display machine required). You can also use Ringo via your mobile phone. There is a single yellow line outside the shop, you can pull up to load/unload furniture. Parking is unrestricted after 6pm and all day Sunday.
Food:- As we are a small shop, we do not have kitchen facilities. However, there are a number of shops and cafes nearby. Please do note, if you have a food allergy that needs to be communicated to other class/workshop attendees, please do email (at the time of booking) Alicia directly at email@example.com so that we can inform other class attendees. We cannot, however, accept any liability for food/drink attendees bring with them.

HOW TO PAY - Classes/ work shops must be paid for in advance as space and dates may be limited & time is needed to source unique materials for your personalised craft. Payment can be made via the Store, contacting the shop to book (by email or telephone) and a paypal invoice will be sent to you or instructions for BACS/bank transfer payment. If you would like to book a private party (Ladies Birthday Party, Hen Party, craft group,children's party or painting/craft party for adults) advanced booking and 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to hold the date.The remaining balance is due at a minimum of 10 days prior to the event
NOTE: online Store check out via paypal. You do not need a paypal account, you can choose any debit or credit card checking out as a guest. Your card details are not passed on to the Crafty Nest. Please do not choose e-cheque payment option in paypal as payment is not cleared for up to 7 business days. Your order cannot be actioned in any way prior to funds being cleared. If you accidentally choose this option, we will contact you to cancel and ask you to please re-order to ensure you receive your order in good time or for attendance at one of our classes/workshops.
Caution – you will be doing painting and/or crafts, therefore you should dress appropriately or bring your own protective coveralls/apron, gloves, hair bands etc. We cannot accept liability for stained clothing etc.
For your safety & those around you, listen carefully & follow instructions especially where electrical tools are used or other materials.
If you do have any allergies/medical conditions where craft materials may have an impact, advise well in advance as certain classes using solvents, paint or sanding may not be suitable. It is up to the attendee to advise Alicia of any adverse health conditions. Nut allergies cannot be accommodated for in relation to refreshments offered. Strictly no children allowed in the classes other than Family Craft or Private Sessions such a scouting events, birthday parties etc. or unless previously agreed with Alicia.
Bespoke Furniture Painting Service/Commissions:- We LOVE doing commissions. If you have a piece of furniture that you would like for us to paint and personalise to your own taste and decor, please contact Alicia on 0208 941 1944 to discuss your requirements. We can also do commissioned crafts too. Special voucher codes/coupons do not apply to commissions. Please do note that we do not offer a collection/delivery service but can provide details of a trusted courier. We are also more than happy to work with any other courier you appoint. Quotations for commissioned work can only be provided upon viewing the pieces in person. Our liability to you is limited to the value of the commission quotation. The pieces should at all time be subject to your own contents insurance. We provide a written, detailed quote for your work including date your project will begin and estimated completion date, which will form our contract with you. Our quotes are based on our time ("time" indicates labour) and materials for preparation plus our time and materials for painting. You have an obligation to inform us of any repairs you require at the start of the process. Any repair work discovered once a piece has arrived in the shop will be photographed and options or any additional fee discussed before additional work commences. This may also delay your completion date. Our terms are 50% non-refundable deposit to book the time in our diary and purchase materials. You are provided photos during the process and you will be asked to come in to view/approve the finished piece upon completion. The remaining 50% balance is due on completion and prior to collection. Finished pieces are required to be collected within 5 days of completion. thereafter, due to our shop being small, a storage fee will apply up to a maximum of 30 days from completion. Items left in the shop 30 days will be considered Abandoned - Abandoned pieces will be donated to the charity of our choice after 30 days from completion.
We do ask that all pieces receive a wipe down both inside and outside of the piece before being brought into the shop. Mainly because we really don't like spiders and get so many stuck inside the cavity of pieces, the back and bottom. BUT this also serves to ensure (a) you are fully aware of the condition of your piece and any issues you may wish to have addressed if not disclosed prior to our quotation for the bespoke furniture painting service; and (b) all personal items will be found by you prior to your piece being delivered to the shop. We cannot accept any responsibility or liability for personal items left inside a piece.
Additionally, by wiping all sides and inside, you will see first hand any potential repairs requiring prep you may have not previously indicated in your instructions to be addressed in the painting process. Unless otherwise instructed to address repairs, dents, scratches etc inherent in used pieces, it would be understood that these issues are acceptable in the finished piece.
Options of paint type, colour, decorative finishes and finish for level of durability will be addressed during our planning discussion with you, with your instruction included in the quotation. Any variations from this may incur additional fee for time and materials.
Please note we do not accept pieces with woodworm or other infestations into the shop.
OPEN WORKSHOP - Personal "Paint Time" – if you’re an experienced painter, have an item you would like to paint & use the work shop, Alicia’s stock paints & stencils, you can book slots as & when available on a case by case basis. Special flat rate of £30 for Ladies Nights Open Work Shop. Fee otherwise is £15 per hour. This is without instruction from Alicia. If you require instruction, please do sign up for one of our classes or specific workshops. Please do contact Alicia is you'd like to come in during any other dates/times. Alicia always welcomes painting buddies during the day when there are no classes scheduled.
Ladies Nights – Any craft of 2.5 hours or less can be done during this time & must be booked in advance on a session by session basis. Time is 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm sharp (hard stop due to lease restrictions). Snacks provided, Wine glasses available & is BYOB. Ladies nights take place on selected Mondays or Thursdays, please see the Ladies Night of Craft page for more information. If you would like your own private Ladies Night for a group of friends either @ The Crafty Nest or in your home, please contact Alicia. Private Ladies Night has a minimum of 4 crafts to be completed & 50% non-refundable booking fee applies and can be on nights other than regularly scheduled Ladies Nights.
Scouting - Special crafts can be organised for the scouting organisations. Contact Alicia to discuss your requirements.
Family Craft and Private Sessions – children are not permitted during Ladies Nights or regular craft sessions. To help share the love of Crafting, we have introduced Family Craft Sessions, scouting sessions and birthday parties. Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult. Children (where age appropriate) can do any craft from the brochure or a special craft project for ages 6+ - their own felt pillow (£10). Choice of 2 pillow types on the day. Please contact the shop to book family craft sessions, birthday parties, scouting sessions or private parties. We even do ladies private parties. Minimum requirement for private sessions are any 4 items.
